Exterior Paint Test

A new potting shed became the perfect canvas to test our exterior paint options. We had narrowed the choices to:

For the main color:

  • Benjamin Moore 1495 – October Mist
  • Benjamin Moore 1496 – Raintree Green

For the trim:

  • Benjamin Moore 1497 – Rolling Hills
  • Benjamin Moore 1498 – Forest Floor
Samples from the store
After painting two walls in October Mist, we realized it was just too light. The green/gray is a nice color pigment.
We then painted the door base in Rolling Hills, the trim in Forest Floor. Rolling Hills is just a little too dark.
The winning combination is Raintree Green with a trim in Forest Floor.

After the real life test, the decision for the main color:

  • Benjamin Moore 1496 – Raintree Green

For the trim:

  • Benjamin Moore 1498 – Forest Floor
